Worship is an encounter. It is not simply talking and singing about God, but meeting and communing with the Living God through the risen Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Marengo United Methodist Church strives to make every gathering a time of connection with both God and one another.

During this unprecedented time as we navigate through the coronavirus pandemic, we will participate in worship through a live online service held on Sunday mornings at 9:30a.m.  Once we get past the pandemic, we will go back to two services during the school year (September through May.  We offer our Heritage Service at 8:30a.m. (a traditional service with organ, bells, and hymns from the hymnal), and our New Beginnings Service at 10:00 a.m. (a contemporary style worship with a worship band and a variety of instruments and media).  During the summer months (End of May through early September)  we offer one service at 9:30 a.m.  This service type changes from week to week between traditional and contemporary styles.

Our ministry for children begins in the nursery (birth through 2 years of age), with Sunday School for children age three through 4th grade.  Sunday School students begin the morning with their families in the sanctuary for the first 15 minutes, and are then dismissed for their Sunday School time in their classrooms.

Baptism and Communion are celebrated here!

Christian Marriage is distinct in its witness to the love of Christ for the world.
